HOW I WORK WITH A PRODUCT TEAM

01- ORIENT

Customer first and the people who build for them

Every decision I make traces back to two groups: the people who use the product and the people who build it. It is why I start with observation and interviews rather than roadmaps, and why team satisfaction, “hearing” and “recognizing” them is my priority , not as a nice-to-have, but as a leading indicator.

03 - TRANSLATE

Make complexity buildable

I use Jobs to Be Done and Opportunity Solution Trees to uncover what matters, Cynefin to choose how to respond, and WSJF or RICE to prioritize what comes first. The result is focused, testable direction that aligns customer needs, business value and delivery constraints.

02- DIAGNOSE

Measuring and understanding cultural DNA before changing anything

Before initiating any changes, I use qualitative and quantitative data to understand pain points, team dynamics, and the values embedded in the organization or the product. This establishes both what should change and what must remain because cultural DNA is central to organizational identity and understanding what to change and what not to is critical in any transformation.

I approach transformation as an evidence-led cycle of act small, observe, measure, iterate or pivot.

02- GOVERN

Protect focus, publish the trade-off

Most delivery problems start with teams being too optimistic during planing and taking on too much work.

I make unplanned work a visible decision rather than an invisible tax, and I absorb the stakeholder pressure instead of passing it down as urgency.
